Founder and designer Katherine Edmonds has a background in art history, textile design and traditional French dressmaking. She is the founder and creative director of Wovenplay children’s wear collection.
“Making things by hand has been a lifelong passion of mine. I have always loved the process of manipulating and transforming beautiful raw materials into exciting & original creations. A few years ago, I traveled to India to meet with a team of highly specialized textile weavers, block printers and clothing manufacturers. We had an immediate artistic connection and mutual vision for this new collection of hand-spun, hand-loomed and block-printed organic cotton textiles, clothing and accessories”.
